The culture will be fine for the entirety of its shelf life at room temperature if the warmest it gets is around 25°C (78°F).
If they get warmer than this then they will still work but may not be as effective and length of shelf life reduces.
The best way to store them is in the freezer if possible to extend the life as much as possible, however as above - they will be fine.
