My clay weights became mouldy during storage inside the fermenting crock. How can I fix this?

The weights in the fermenting crock are ceramic and can be placed in an oven at 110°C (230°F) for approximately 10 minutes to dry and sterilise.

Or alternatively, you can boil and soak them in vinegar to inhibit mould growth. 

We also suggest using the Mad Millie steriliser before using the crock and weights.
